I will admit that Depp would be peerless at playing the guitar and looking hammered!

However, Maine had to be played by someone that a young woman might be genuinely attracted to. So, the younger and more presentable Cooper took the job, and he was right to do so.

Johnny Depp would’ve been good at playing a down on his luck, washed up, ex-hearthtrob rock star, because that’s exactly what he is.
