Just asking because there certainly aren't any popular modern male singers who use the style of Cooper's character in this movie.

No, there was a scene of people using a FaceTime/Skype program on a phone to talk.

Actually his characters music could be comparable to Keith Urban.....he’s pretty popular.

It takes place in 2016. You would know that if you ever paid attention.

No popular modern male singers use that style? Maybe that's one of the problems with pop music today.

There was a scene near the end where the manager says, “That was 2004” when Bradley Cooper was recounting some event.

So yeah.

It was set around 2016-2018.
