Please help me remember what happened in the movie.

I need help remembering the story. I've watched the movie but don't remember how I felt about it and I keep a list on here with notes on movies I have watched.

If you can help fill in some details I would appreciate it.

I recall it being about white trash people and she works at the mart and her old flame comes by and she has trouble with him. She is married to the handicapped guy and I remember that he once stood up but that was just a vision right? He wasn't faking?

Then they go to live with her mom or the mom of her ex-flame or somebody's mom and theres trouble. She also gets pregnant but loses the baby but in the end it's a good thing because they are in no position to raise a kid.

Do I have the above right? Can you add any more details and how it ended?

Yes, he stood up but that was just a vision, the mother was Melissa's, Naomi Watts' character, and the mother was taking care of and possibly abusing the foster children and paying the rent to Norman Reedus' character, although the abuse could have been by the black guy that lived with her (her boyfriend? I didn't quite get who he was).

Thanks. Yes. I remember the mom's guy now that you reminded me but don't recall anything about the abuse.

What about the ending? Do you remember that? She terminated the pregnancy right? And the movie kind of played it as they were in no position to be parents or am I getting the details wrong?
