Sedona

Just saw the movie last night, when it opened in Sedona, at the Sedona International Film Festival. What a wonderful movie! An adventuresome, funny, touching and beautiful film. The camerawork/lighting, by Frenchman Rudy Harbon, was impeccable: not only were there spectacular scenic views (obligatory in a film shot in Sedona!), but but all of the details (often rough in an indie)were polished:close-ups, interior/exterior vehicle shots (automobile and aircraft), etc.
In the character development department, there were many quirky characters, but not one was a caricature--all roles were appropriate, thoughtful, and extremely well developed by the director and his talented cast.
A real must-see!

I saw the film last night with more than 750 people who loved it. I wanted to love it, because it has a lot going for it. It certainly captured the quirkiness of Sedona and what makes it such a unique place. I thought the opening shots in the plane too long(even though they were beautiful shots.)I also felt the father, Seth, was too "over the top" in his performance. The rest of the cast was very good, and it was a pleasure to see Frances Fisher again. She was perfect for that role. I think if this got "tightened up a bit" it would be great.
