the thlot pickens

Is it a movie of is it a pilot for a series? NBC doesn't say on this page, but why else register it in a series format?

I really hope they aren't reeling me into watching two hours with a cliffhanger ending, coz I'll be right royally p.o.'d.

And I hope, after seeing the first 15 minutes that Barry Bostwick's contribution isn't limited to just that. There'd better be PLENTY of flashbacks, because Barry is the only reason I tuned in.

So, there you are. Anything to say, NBC?

Secrets of the Mountain is what's known as a "backdoor pilot". Technically it's a pilot for a new series but it doesn't end with a cliffhanger so it can still air as TV-movie in case it isn't picked up. NBC will make it a full-fledged series if the ratings are high enough and the DVD does well.

BTW, Barry Bostwick appears throughout the movie, not just the beginning.

Humm A series? Based on what? The happy family chasing secret places on the mountain? THis was a fine one time movie but a series, seriously?

It didn't feel like a pilot at all. The ending with them all moving to the mountain, maybe, but how many secrets could they find on this mountain? They'd have to change the premise.

Tomorrow's just your future yesterday!
