Lots of commercials

This movie makes precious little sense. It seems to be a National Treasure wannabe, except with a very thin plot and bratty teenagers along for the ride. I guess that I should have recorded it because there are so many commercials that it is hardly worth watching.

Yes, and as I opined before - it looks like it's been set up to be a series, should any network be insane enough to pick it up.

The best that can be said is the actors were all likeable. The worst? That it's all been done before and better. For me, the great pleasure was in seeing Barry Bostwick again, who's been a favorite of mine for at least 40 years.

I don't know, as family fare goes, it wasn't that bad. My 10 yr old enjoyed it. We spent time watching it together, so for us it was worth watching. Plus, no sex or innuendo and there weren't inappropriate commercials offering dancing poles for the bedroom for just buck like on nickelodean. I am sick of all of that.

I'm sure it wont be a series based on this movie. I just think that imdb set it up wrong. Who does that job anyway? Or, maybe the 'series' part is that they are making Family movie night a series.

I've got to make sure YouTube comes down to tape this ~~ Michael Scott

It was planned to serve as a pilot for a series if successful, but also stand alone as a movie.

It was alright. Nothing great though. I liked the family, but the plot was seriously lacking. Nigel was a horrible villain. And I prefer treasure hunt movies with more puzzles and such to solve. This treasure was so easy to find, it might as well have been on Dora the Explorer's Map.

It had more back story but the mountain search was like the last 45 minutes. If it is going to be a show, the family should travel and search out treasures and get amazing writers and shoot at beautiful locations. Fun family film though. Fun adventure and love Barry Bostwick. To many walmart commercials. I grasp the fact that they sponsored and that they were nice commercials I felt like I was at walmart every ten minutes!~!

Joe: Stealing Stuff!~!

Nick J Show Part 2 (REVENGE)

I love the Ignore button!~!

Well, it wasn't that they just sponsored the showing of the film like some other companies do. They actually co-financed the making of the film with Procter & Gamble. That was why all that Great Value and P& G merchandise was everywhere in the kitchens and pantries. I'd also wager that the homes were furnished with lamps, tables, etc that are found at Walmart.

The Jensen Project that was advertised for July is another film made by WM and P&G. So expect a repeat of the commercials and placement there too.

I agree, morlin. Not the best movie ever, but the kids enjoyed it. An evening spent with family is always a good thing.

That thing with the centre of the triangle, and how they HAD to be dead centre in order to locate the cave entrance. Seemed kinda pointless cos iirc they could have seen where the sunlight hit the mountain from anywhere in the triangle, and also from anywhere all around the triangle too.

If you don't like the commercials you can get the DVD at Walmart

The acting was lousy too.

I liked the movie. I applaud them for making a clean, wholesome family movie.
I also liked some of the commercials. I especially like the one where the little boy put all of the shaving cream on his face.
Plus, my niece recently filmed a commercial for Walmart. I kept hoping that they would show the one she was in. It turned out that they showed hers two nights before during the show Parenthood. The commercial was advertising family movie night.

Hey Dainty,

I doubt that you really are that dainty if you sit at your computer eating chips and posting this crap! First off I actually know Paige and she is 5 foot 5 without heels. By the way she is most regularly spotted in flip flops or Uggs chasing down her six year old. She doesn't bite her nails but is also not obsessed with total glamour as she is natually beautiful! She has a great life with a wonderful actor/husband and yes, he does have to travel to do his job as does she. As commited as they are to living a normal life they selflessly take turns in supporting each other in their careers. If you are a fan and a women you really should find a way to focus on the positive rather than worry if a hard workin mom is using a safety pin on her dress. She is aging gracefully with out asthetics un like many actresses.I would love to look like her at her age and by the way she is till called in regularly for roles and I would call that a succesful career. If you had kids they would have loved the show. How are your cats? Dying to hear your thoughts on this????

Best, MILF

I don't understand this post. Even if she did bite her nails, so what? Many many people do that, it doesn't mean anything.

I was unfamiliar with her until I saw this movie. But I think she is attractive and the movie was predictable but not that bad. Being funded and produced by crap like Walmart it could've and should've been a lot worse than it was. I'd probaby watch it a second time if it was on or I found the DVD cheap someplace.

More recently I saw her in The Good Wife and remembered her from this movie. She is a pretty woman.
