Any news on season 2? Its been 4 years.

I just finished re-watching my dvd, and the tease at the end seems much more than a joke that I hear some people say they were trying to pass off. My guess is sales were less than expected, but with Rozen Maiden and Sailor Moon getting new works after years, i still hold out hope for this one. Anyone know anything?
