Enough With World War II, Please!

Holy baby Jesus, the war lasted six years, but the unending stream of movies coming out about it lasts for almost 70 years now. Saying it's a cliché is probably already a cliché in it of itself.
Yeah, we know, nazis were terrible and americans were golden heroes of virtue, can we move on to actually creating new stories now? Please?

You are a heartless person who knows nothing of suffering.

reply

You can know a great deal about suffering and having had enough of WWII movies. I see no contradiction in that.

Who is the heartless one here, me complaining about the movies or Hollywood capitalizing on the post-war?

reply

Instead of whining about a movie, wouldn't your time be better spent going off & *beep* yourself?

reply

Hey, op, you do realize that if you hate WW2 movies, you don't need to see them, right????

>>> and americans were golden heroes of virtue

This story had nothing to do with Americans.

reply

Hey, mate, you do realize this is a terrible argument that seeks to shun any form of critiscism, right????

If the story has nothing to do with americans, why is almost every actor in the movie american, as well as the director, writer and studio? Imposing the english language also associates the feats of people represented in the movie with americans.

>>> that seeks to shun any form of criticism, right????

CRITICISM????

What in the world do you know about criticism???? What does criticism have to do with your posts????

All you told us is that you dislike movies about WW2, and you are sick of the messages that Americans are good, (even though none of the characters in this movie were Americans) and that the Nazis were evil. And since there seemed to be a touch of sarcasm to said expressed sentiments concerning Americans and Nazis, perhaps you don't really think the Nazis were so evil. I also notice how you dismiss the Nazis being terrible as a cliche (or that's 1 of the things you dismiss as a cliche)

>>> If the story has nothing to do with Americans, why is almost every actor in the movie american, as well the director, writer, and studio?

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now that you understand that the story itself has nothing to do with Americans/America, and none of the CHARACTERS in it were American, you are going to hate on the movie because it has American actors, and was made by Americans. So you must hate virtually all Hollywood/American made movies.

But how does this mean the movie sends the message that America is good???? When the subject matter of the movie had nothing to do with America, or Americans????

But I'll play along with your nonsense for the moment, so

>>> Imposing the english language also associates the feats of people represented in the movie with americans

And I guess that's because the USA is the only country in the world that speaks English. (lol)

So, I guess you would rather have subtitles, because subtitles are so much more true-to-life. Yep, every time I go to my local Chinese restaurant, English subtitles flash across the counter, so I can follow the conversations the workers are having among themselves (LOL).

Whether the movie has foreign languages being representative in English, or the movie uses subtitles, neither way is true to life, but both ways get the intended job done.

But you, apparently have no real argument, or CRITICISM to make, but still just want to hate on America. Go away.

You'd be a slave of Hitler without the struggles and sacrifices made by all of the nations that opposed Germany. I suggest that you try to learn from history.
