The Paintings he wouldnt let any one see....

OK, about these paintings...were there any? She walked into the art room at the end and there were they still white boards or were they turned over?

Why wouldnt he show them?

They show him painting a couple times they just dont show WHAT he was painting.

Then why show this at all if they weren't going to show the audience?

By the way, I actually really liked this movie, this was the only flaw I had with it.

I understood the canvases to all be blank. So who knew what he was doing when he was "working", but you're right with the paint flying and splattering about you would expect there to be something. I agree that this was a flaw in the movie and in my opinion a missed opportunity to do something cool. I think it would have been better if his "work" had turned out to be creepy or disturbing images. I guess with them being blank it leaves the plot more open to debate, though. Maybe he had an artistic block and she was just crazy, but with the history of the house I don't feel that was the case. I'm not sure how much he was effected by the house, but I felt that she was.

Most likely he sold dope by hiding the weed inside his " paintings "

They were all blank...the whole idea reminded me of The Shining...when Jack Nicholson kept typing the same sentence over and over again on a whole ream of paper, while his wife thought he was busy writing his book. In reality, both husbands were slowly being possessed and going mad.

Remember she was imagining things. So who's to say any paipainting was going on at all.

Since she was hallucinating it's also possible the painting weren't blank at all. They just looked blank to her in that moment.
