Rubarb pie did her in

As I watched the last episode, the caregiver tells her she made rhubarb pie and then pushed her to eat it.

I asked myself if this would be the catalyst for her death. Wasn't long before she was lying there dead.

I think my mom's caregiver removed her oxygen because she never made through a transfer but died shortly after we left. Happens a lot from what a friend told me who works in hospice. Just a little helping hand to someone who won't make it.

The true lesson is NEVER trust anything from a hospice nurse.

Or to be grateful you got one who will help you out of a painful life.

I thought the same thing! Seems like a storyline out of Dexter, crazy hospice nurse who kills all of her patients. I thought it was weird that they showed her alive when Paul came home for like an instant at first than they were like psyche! She's dead!

Wait, are we actually supposed to suspect the nurse's pie had something in it?

You're wrong. Darlene Hunt said the nurse did not add anything extra to the pie. Many people, including myself, believe Cathy died after Paul, Adam, and Sean left and before the nurse got there. If you go back and watch when Paul came home, you can see the check her father left her on the end table.

The creator(also Hospice manager)of the show.

No if you look at the table you see that Cathy got to eat some pie before she went, that said she died because she was finally ready to go,and it was her time.
Ina had nothing to do with it.

I watched the show when it was originally on air I just didn't finish the last four episodes. So I decided to start from the beginning and watched it all the way through. I too thought that the nurse spiked her pie. I'm trying to find the post where Hunt denied these rumors. Oh and she didn't die before the nurse got there. She had time to eat some pie.

I think the nurse is clear, though what's interesting to me is that rhubarb leaves are poisonous and can kill. I don't think they often end up in pies, however.

If she didn't get her last pie, then there really REALLY is not god.

i was just thinking from early seasons, from season 1, when they first found out. Paul i think was going through alternative treatments. Actually, they were at the hair dressers after Paul cut off his hair.
And the hair dresser was like, my cousin of my partener tried this alternative treatment where he eats 20 rubards per day, and now he is all cured! all gone! I wonder if that is just a little nod to that scene from very early on. I dunno, i mean, if its just a happencestance that is cool, but rubard pie is pretty damn specific.
