I guess they couldn't get Brian Cox back for the series finale - too bad - I've always thought he was great.
That said, I thought Brian Dennehy did a nice job as well.
Just sayin'...

I don't know that they couldn't get him back or if they just really wanted Brian Dennehy.
The character was only there briefly and I couldn't remember who played it,but knew it wasn't Dennehy originally.
I didn't remember Brian Cox playing her dad in it, but Brian Dennehy was really good though.
