The problem with these Christian movies...

I KNOW they have a good point....but the acting is sooooo bad. MST3K bad.

Come on guys, surely you could get some lessons or something. I'm not expecting Shakespeare, but at least be somewhat believable!

That's the problem with all sorts of low budget films. If a film was put out by the Church of Latter Day Saints that was a low budget film or lesbians, or lesbians Christians, you will get what you pay for. Sometimes, you can find some good acting for peanuts, but you will get a lot of less skilled amateurs.

It is true that the rule here should be that it has to work on some level as a film to send its message. I read that in fact on some Christian website. "October Baby," for instance, is a "Christian film" (aka a conservative leaning one on the subject of abortion) that had better acting.

I didn't really stick with this movie that long, but thought some of the acting was serviceable -- the young woman was pretty good. The rapist's prison supporter (the old black guy) was pretty good too. I admit the rest is rather mixed, including our lesser Baldwin "name."

The Kendrick brothers are Christian filmmakers and they produce some very good films of higher quality, good performances as well.
