Is this movie REALLY good???

I'm wondering if this movie is 'genuinely' good or if it's total CRAP??? 8.1 seems a REALLY high score for a film of this nature. Also, I've been looking through the 'reviews', there seems to be A LOT of reviews in October, November and December 2016, I'm wondering if there's lots of fake accounts, possibly cast and crew loading the page with favourable reviews??? hmmmmm, I am not convinced about this film at all. If anyone has seen this, please let me know and give me an honest review of the film, thanks. :-)

I haven't seen it but I am also curious. It hit my radar just now because I was looking at IMDb's ranking of the highest rated horror movies (with 1000 votes or more) and this one is currently #42!!

To put that in perspective, Evil Dead II (1987) is #47 and Les yeux sans visage (1960) is #50.

That said, it does have over 1,300 votes. Could be some plants in there but there'd have to be quite a lot to skew a film with so many votes that drastically. I suspect people genuinely like it. I'm definitely going to look into it.

Just wanted to follow up and say that I watched the first 15 minutes. It's not good. It's not unwatchable, mind you. I've seen far, far worse. But it's definitely NOT "really good". I'll finish it some time later this week but I'm in no rush.

The worst thing about it so far is the poor script and inconsistent sound mixing. I'm constantly turning it up to try and understand what the actors are saying one second and then suddenly down so as not to wake the neighbors the next second. There are even scenes with 2 characters talking, where one actor is audible and the other isn't.

I'm guessing my final vote will be a 3/10 at best, unless it gets markedly better soon.

I had the same situation with "Never Open The Door". I was browsing and stumbled upon that movie and it has an 8.3 rating with over 1,000 ratings. It happened to be on Amazon Prime so I watched it and it was horrible. Gave it a 2/10. I have a feeling this movie will be just as bad.
