our universe a simulation?

We ponder our existence. Let's say we're not in a simulation and our universe began with the Big Bang. Let's go further than that and say there was something even BEFORE the Big Bang. Possibly other universes or maybe just one gigantic other universe. Maybe we can't conceptualize anything before our Big Bang because that is our beginning? Maybe outside our universe beginnings do not apply? I know, it's deep but what I'm trying to say is we only know OUR universe and thus can only FIGURE OUT what's in OUR universe. Anything beyond our universe is irrelevant. Unreachable. Unknowable. UNREAL.
