Is anyone out there watching this?

Usually, there are quite a few postings in the first hour of a premiere showing of a scifi original. Where is everyone? What do you think of the movie so far?

reply

I watched it.. pretty predictable paint by numbers SyFy original movie.. they saved a bit of money this time by having the monster hidden behind a cloak for 90% of the movie.

reply

it's just about to air here in Phoenix...Should i waste my time on this?

reply

Sure. What else would you be doing?

reply

If people are calling this movie good they need to pull their heads outta their @$$E$. Its terrible. Only good actor in this whole movie is the baby! Plot is brutal, reasoning behind random killings is terrible. If the thing hunts babies why's it laying waste to random people with no babies? Totally retarded.

reply

The goblin is primarily interested in killing the babies in light of the curse and because infants represent undefiled new life and potential. As for laying waste to random people, the goblin is a demon, do you think a demon is going to spare the life of anyone who gets in the way? What's the pupose of demons anyway? To "kill, steal and destroy". Hence, the goblin likely got excited at the opportunity of extra people to torment & kill.

I enjoyed this movie! I like these kind of movies. Nothing like a good spooky, not too serious movie to give me a peaceful sleep!

That's what I thought as well. Why kill those teens in the woods, they had nothing to do with the baby, were not protecting the baby, were not near the baby. Leave em alone, Goblin!

Also, when they tried to "trade" the baby to the Goblin....Why would the Goblin accept a trade for something he would just take anyway?

Anyway, I liked this one!

Watching it right now on a horror channel here in the UK. Feels like another low budget, direct to DVD horror.

Fairly absorbing opening sequence with some reasonably chilly atmosphere conjured up in parts. However this is let down by some pretty lame acting (the kids were and the moustachioed father were the worst) cheesy effects and the big mistake of showing us too much of the goblin: it simply wasn't very frightening and much more effective when we just saw it as a cloaked figure.
