On paper this film seems right up my street but - nah

the film was fine - but totally charmless

Dark humour has to be humorous - this wasn't really - just seemed a bit meh to me.

No way was this anywhere near as good as Kick Ass from (which I gather it's sometime compared with, for obvious reasons)


So if it doesn't work on a comedy level what is left, a psycho going around with dubious motivations for hurting people.

Ironically with a very mawkish ending. In a way this film couldn't be more American in that way!

So overall not terrible but definitely won't be rushing to watch this one again
