In the original Night of the Living Dead, Helen Cooper looked like a mom. Not a typical Hollywood chick. But in the remakes, they always seem to make her significantly younger, which IMO takes away from the believability.

shareThe actress who played Helen Cooper was 34 years old when the "Original film" came out, so as a 34 year old woman she may have looked like a "Mom" but that is because she was playing the role of a "Mom", also that was they hairstyle and dress style of most 30+ year old women.
In the more modern remakes of the film women do not wear their hair that way or dress that way, so it really makes sense that a woman who is playing a woman in her mid 30's wouldn't necessarily dress or look like a 1960's "Mom"
