Freddy vs Jason vs Ash

I have to say, when I was watching this dvd, it touched on every possible aspect of everything I ever wanted to know about ol' Frederick's movies.
I especially loved the fanboys wet dream, Freddy vs Jason vs Ash, shoutout and to hear Englund say it would be a great idea to have Bruce Campbell win.
He's a very humble chap is that Mr.Englund. FĂșcking crying shame they had to "reboot" the franchise...
If it ain't broke, and all that nonsense...

I remember an interview with Bruce campbell , when asked about what was he thinking about the concept of Freddy vs Jason vs Ash , he said something like HELL NO!!! He said that he believed that the numerous sequels as turned both Freddy and Jason into a farce and that the Evil Dead trilogy did not jump the Shark like these two Franchise...Even if I'm not sure that I agree with Campbell comment , it is proof that this is not a film we are about to see any time soon...Would have been cool if we did but it will never happen...At least there is the comic book....

Um...wasn't The Evil Dead a serious movie until the sequels and lines like "groovy" and "this is my BOOMSTICK!" came along? I like Bruce as much as the next guy, but this is a stupid comment. All three franchises turned to camp and farce, ESPECIALLY Evil Dead. The Ash from Army of Darkness would fit in seamlessly.

Yes, you make a good point!! But Evil dead always was supposed to be funny,it always had that bit of humour to it, while Freddy and Jason were never supposed to it just became funny after a couple of films...

What Campbell fails to realize and that nobody else seems to realize about this idea is that Ash cannot co-exist with Freddy and Jason. In "A Nightmare on Elm Street", Nancy is watching "Evil Dead" on television. Ergo, in Freddy's (and ipso facto Jason's) universe, Ash is a fictional character and cannot meet them.

That's to say nothing of the Freddy gloves hanging around in the shed in "Evil Dead II"...

If they can make a meta film like New Nightmare which worked so well then I'm sure they could find a way to bring the fictional Ash into the "real" Elm St world

I actually read a script for this a few years ago.... I'm not sure if it was the actual script or a fan script but it was a pretty damn good shot I thought.

I would have loved to see Ash vs Freddy then Freddy vs Jason. I say both have a beer and end up telling stories about their life as hero and villain.

This came out as a graphic novel instead, written by Jeff Katz.

Yes , I have it. Not sure it would have worked as a film but it was a nice shout out to ANOES part 3 : The dream warriors
