Watching this, who were you surprised by the most...

...in terms of age and looks?
I must say, aside from the usual NOES suspects (Wes, Bob Shaye, Heather, Robert, John Saxon etc) this was the first time I was able to see most of the other cast members since the time movies came out.
The most pleasant surprises for me were two female heroins: Kim Myers (Lisa, part 2) and Lisa Wilcox (Alice, part 4-5). They look hotter now than 20-something years ago! Lisa is just adorable.
Mark Patton was also a pleasant surprise. For a 46 year old he still has that youngish thing about his face...And he looks healthy unlike some others.

I think the biggest shock for me came in the form of Tuesday Knight. If there wasn't a "Tuesday Knight-Kristen Parker" at the bottom of the screen, I could've gone the entire documentary without knowing who the hell that chick was. She was the only one I hadn't recognized immediately.

Lezlie Deane from Nightmare 6 was also a bit of a shock, what the hell is she on? Tuesday Knight looks so different she's definately had surgery. Kim Meyers looks even more beautiful now than she did 25 years ago.

On a side note, how shocked were you when you heard about the whole Nightmare 4 love triangle, i was gobsmacked, lol. Very Very honest documentary for sure.

10/10 for me.

Aaah, I totally forgot about Lezlie Dean. First I thought she was on the set of some production, or she's into performances...but then I did some googling and found out that she has a band and she's openly lesbian...so there ya go lol...

Regarding the love triangle thing...is that on the second disc? I haven't seen the extras yet, planning on tonight. If it's on the first disc I must have missed it somehow.

BTW, this one's for the ages:
James Cameron: So how are you resurrecting Freddy this time?
Renny Harlin dead serious: A dog pisses fire.

That must be on the 2nd disc. I haven't watched disc two, either , and I didn't know anything about a love triangle

Yeah Tuesday Knight was freaky. I thought she looked like the human version of Toots from Drawn Together.

Lezlie Dean looked like a nightmare herself.

Monica Keena looks a lot older than she is.

Yes Alice Wilcox and Kim Meyers looked hot.

reply

Monica Keena has definately had surgery too, she looks nothing like she did in Freddy vs Jason, and it wasn't even that long ago.

The love triangle thing is on disc 2, sorry if i spoilt it for you, lol.

Yup, Lisa Wilcox looks beautiful. Tuesday Knight looks like sh$t. Remember those online articles Tuesday did saying that no one liked Lisa while they were filming NOES 4? Listening to the documentary (second disc), it sounds to me like it was the other way around. Anyone agree?

reply

Definately, Tuesday comes off as being a bitch and a diva on set, it sounds to me like Renny Harlin had a thing for her and she knew it so used it to her advantage but really she was seeing Andras Jones which made Renny jealous banning him from parties etc. It's actually kinda funny because no one mentioned anything about Lisa being difficult.

I just finished watching extended interviews for part 4 and I have to agree. Lisa seems like the sweetest person and Tuesday comes of as some sort of cocky primadonna.
Btw, I was very much surprised to see Nicholas Mele (Alice's father in part 4&5) in extended interviews, because when I watched the documentary I just figured they couldn't get him to participate. They REALLY should have put him in the final cut, at least one sentence, 10 seconds, whatever...the guy deserved it. And he looks the same as he did 20 years ago, lol.

I'm surprised Amanda Wyss hasn't gotten a mention. No surprise also that Ericka Anderson still looks stunning. For the guys I thought "Nick Corri" and Danny Hassel could almost still pass for teenagers. Rodney Eastman couldn't look MORE like Justin Long.

Anytime Heather is on-screen I can't help but smile.

reply

I was shocked to see Lezlie Dean like I was like wtf is she doing looking like that with her lesbian girlfriend I mean I have no problem with it but it was just so weird. Like everyone looks normal than all of a sudden Lezlie is all gothed out with her girlfriend laying her head on her breast. Some have aged well and some others haven't but it was so great to see everyone.

I think Tuesday and Lisa are close friends, now.

They own a toe ring business, or something.

They did, but Tuesday thinks that Lisa and another business associate deliberately outed her from it.

Yeah, for some reason, we were very believable in those roles. But I always felt bad. I felt inferior to her, I felt like well, she’s better then me. Flash forward to 13 years later after I saw her in STAPLES, we go have lunch, we decided we were going to talk. I went home and told my mother, “Oh my God! Lisa Wilcox is calling me! She hated me before, I don’t understand. She’s being so nice! What’s going on?” I was jazzed about it. And so, we met and had lunch and she explains that she’s on the verge of a breakup, and that it just devastated her.

She was completely heartbroken, and I had just come out of a marriage as well, so we feeling out our words with each other by just talking. She asked me what I was doing, and I told her. And I told her who some of my clients were and I showed her the jewelry and she just really flipped out over it. And she was like, “Wow, this is amazing.” We had another investor that was coming in, and Lisa said she would like to be that investor. Well, my other partner said “If you work with her, then I’m not going to work with you.” Because she wanted the most money for the deal, ya know?

And I said, “Well, you know what? I choose Lisa.” Because I believed in her and thought she was genuine. So we started our business in 2000 and we started doing really well. We found an investor, we got with them. They put us up in a great office. I was making the designs and she was basically running the office. So, she was doing the marketing and I was making the jewelry. Basically we did that until June of 2007, where then I found out that she had gone behind my back with the other partner that we had, the one I initially had, she went behind my back and they decided to get rid of me, do the designing themselves and take the credit for I guess everything.

Basically, I was locked out of my office. It was… I had never been hurt to that degree ever. It just completely broke my heart. I couldn’t believe she didn’t have my back. I couldn’t believe that she would even be in cahoots with this other woman. I was in tears for 3 months! It was really horrible and it hurt and it was terrible and I couldn’t believe it. Um, I made all new designs for my thing, all new clients. A lot of the clients that were with them left. A lot of the celebrity clients came with me, because I was the designer.

A lot of people thought it was a really *beep* thing to do, so they came with me. I didn’t ask them to, I honestly wasn’t even in the place to ask them to. I was so heartbroken. This is something that I made in my house, that I designed, that I did. I put everything together, and then this happens, and it came right at the end of when my dad died. My dad had passed away, and I was very weak at the time, and it was a time where they hit me where it really, really hurt.

Something VERY fishy about Tuesday's version of events though. And if you read the rest of the interview, she brings up Lisa at every opportunity, even when the questions have nothing to do with her. My favourite is when they asked her about being in the funeral scene in New Nightmare, and the first thing she says is "They didn't ask Lisa to do it, they asked me". There's definitely more to this.

Amanda Wyss really reminds me of Melissa Rivers now. lol

Brooke Theiss looked great, I've always liked her.
John Saxon looks good for his age; he is always interesting to listen to. The biggest surprise for me was Clu Gulager, he was hilarious!

lets see. Aside from the obvious people that were hot, Lisa Wilcox, Kim Myers, others deserved their fair dues as well. This was 20+ years ago! Andras Jones still looks good, the girl who got her head bashed into the TV, still looks like she did to a degree, Penelope Sudrow I believe, I also can't believe they got Dr. Simms from part 3 to come back. She was up there back then, so to see her again was great, AND she delivered her lines today just as believable and effective. That was really nice to watch. Miko Hughes grew up to be a nice looking fella, & some others really deserve their kudos points as well.

I don't think it's really fair to be bashing Tuesday Knight & Lezlie Deane and the others though because, if you check their pictures from the last several years, they both look good. Not to mention, SOUND good. I mean,..some of those guys sound NOTHING like they did when they made those movies. Voices change with age too. Tuesday can still deliver her lines. Lezlie sounds the same too. Tuesday with blonde hair still looks good, and lezlie looks good too, it's just the makeup and all that other stuff, that got people to talk. Those aren't tatoos, and she doesn't look like that first thing in the morning. It's all makeup, games & fun. Also,...some of the biggest surprises were actually what some people look like, that weren't ON this documentary. Ever see what ronnee blakely or even breckin meyer look like nowadays? Not saying it in a bad way but....talk about looking different!

Lisa Zane is obviously very intelligent and came across awesome too, especially since I believe she was really overlooked way back when, because 6 wasn't very popular at the time, compared to the rest of the franchise, so it's nice to see her get her dues too. The Mark Patton/Kim Myers bits were very welcoming, and their reunion was really sweet. They really had a unique chemistry.

The biggest surprise for me was how the guy that played will in part 3, sounds EXACTLY the same, and how Ken Sagoes, who plays Kincaid parts 3/4, looks and sounds almost exactly the same. When I was watching "a nightmare on elm street in 10 minutes" with them reading lines....some of them, you'd think they were still in their nightmare days, or could be ready for yet another sequel, haha.

Some of them looked very similar to how they did back then,,...some of them looked TOTALLY different, in good ways and in bad ways, and that's that. Time does different things to people.

But no one was completely unrecognizable.

I agree he came off as very funny and charming. It was a bit of a surprise for me because in the Return of the Living Dead doc they made him sound like kind of a nightmare to work with.

Lezlie Dean, coated in ICP makeup, was clearly using her interview to promote some really bad band she's in. I'm now curious to hear how bad they are. Here I come, youtube! It was fun seeing all of these old faces (some considerably older). Why does Tuesday Knight look all squishy!? I was drooling whenever Danny came on screen. What a hunk! Not an ounce of estrogen in there. A bit of a mimbo, but who cares? MEATY. Heather's probably my favorite cast member - really grounded and comes off likeable.

Before I ever clicked on this post, and before I read what you'd written, just from the SUBJECT LINE my immediate answer was going to be Tuesday Knight.

Tuesday Knight looks NOTHING like she did in Nightmare 4!

By the way, my ex-wife looks like Tuesday Knight. Oldschool Nightmare 4 Tuesday Knight, not Tuesday Knight today.

And you're right on the money ---- Kim Meyers and Lisa Wilcox are really HOT! I saw both of them in the past few years at MonsterMania cons in Cherry Hill New Jersey. Both look great. Lisa, especially.
