Remake interview missing?

I bought the 2 disc DVD of the documentary it has all the extended interviews of all the films in disc 2 but no mention of the remake. In what section is it suppose to be?

reply

I would imagine that this would be a matter of two things. 1) if I'm not mistaken, this documentary covers the ones produced by Bob Shaye an co., whereas the remake is produced by Platiunum Dunes (Michael Bay and co.) 2) I figure this movie was in the can prolly around the same time that the remake was being shot, and the filmmakers found it in feasible ir perhaps not of interest to talk to Platinum Dunes.

But really I'm just assuming here!

reply

This was made when the remake was in production. It was also meant to be just for the original films.

reply

No but I've read reviews of the documentary stating that they briefly talk about the remake in disc 2. So.....

It's been a while but there is definitely a brief mention of the remake on disc 2 of the dvd. I'm not sure about the blu ray. I can't remember what they say other than its very short.

i have both the dvd and blu-ray and yes its there. they only talk about it for like 5-10mins if that. i'm pretty sure its in the main documentary but havent watched in a while so don't quote me but it IS covered somewhere.

and yes the reason they say so little is because the movie wasn't out. by the time the documentary was released, i think the remake had just hit theaters shortly before.

I remember seeing something on the discs (back in 2010) where Wes Craven briefly talked about his feelings on the remake , I think it was in the extra's somewhere.
