Lezlie Deane - WTF??

What is with that girl?! I thought it was so disrespectful to the viewers and the film-makers by doing that interview the way she did. All that crap all over her face and stuff, and her lesbian lover beside her?? Please! It's 2010, lesbians dont shock us anymore, if she was trying to promote her band it FAILED with me!

*TysonBoi*
SHE'S NOT A LITTLE GIRL! She's the head Langolier!

reply

Agree completely. Nothing against her lifestyle, but that thing she was hanging on during her interviews was not in any of the films. She had no place being in the doc interviews. Nobody else had their lover/partner in the interviews, so why should she? It was totally off the wall and not needed. Very out of place and disrespectful.

reply

totally agree;
gay or not gay, I think you can survive an interview without your lover sitting like a good dog next to you.

reply

....while staring creepily at the camera.

"I've flown this route before."
"When was that?"
"IT WAS ON THE WINGS OF A DEMON!"

reply

lol I know right? It was bizarre!

American Horror Story Season 6: Donald Trump

reply

Haha, I just watched it and I thought it was a bit silly. What's with this weird faux-goth subculture? I just don't get them!

reply

Was she wearing make up or is her face tattooed??

I couldn't tell

He can NOT be a part of me! Batman does NOT eat nachos!!

reply

Man I was thinking the same damn thing! Like it was so weird I am watching everyone else looking normal and here comes Lezlie with her lesbian goth lover and looking all goth and punked out like are you trying to make a statement or something? Like I have noting against her lifestyle and I'm certainly not against gays, but it was just so out of place and did not need to be there.

reply

She probably told the filmmakers that if she couldn't do it, she wouldn't participate. She wasn't paid for it, so it wouldn't be surprising that she would want to promote her band (if that's what she was doing) or lifestyle.

The bizarre thing is that her interview is actually pretty insightful and she even participated in the "NOES in 10 minutes' thing, which you would think would be a very un-goth like thing to do.

reply

I dont think she's bad and all , she's probably nice...she's just very, very different and she was sexually molested as a child the other actors weren't so that sort of thing do mess you up...

reply

She does seem cool not saying she doesn't seem cool Oliver, but it was just so distracting all that make up and her lesbian lover there resting her head on her breast.

reply

if you watch the extended interviews, the image is raw and untouched and you can tell its just makeup. the stuff under her eye is actually all glittery and sparkly. something that you couldnt tell in the documentary itself. lol

reply

I'm gay and found it a bit unnecessary as well. Only necessary in my opinion if it was part of a movie she was filming or something and couldn't get of the makeup?

It's a sad thing that your adventures have ended here

reply

It reminded me of the time Angelina Jolie Kissed her brother in the mouth...with the tongue at the Academy Awards, big random wtf moment lol

reply

[deleted]

I actually taught she was cute when I first saw part 6 in the cinema lol ...but again it was 1990 and I was 9 years old, what did I know about girls?

reply

Obviously this is about her freakishness and not her homosexuality. I think everyone probably really appreciated Mark Patton, who was interesting and insightful. I don't remember if it was during the actual doc, or just on the second disc, but he had some interesting things to say about being gay in Hollywood and also about the homoeroticsm of Nightmare 2... His life style is perfectly respectable. But having your sex slave clinging to you during your interview is just strange and comes off as narcisistic.

reply

I kept wanting to scream at her "slave": "You creepy bitch! Quit staring at the camera!"

reply

It's very distracting for sure , I was expecting her to start barking like a dog or something..

reply

Guys, how do you even know that was her girlfriend, maybe they were in the middle of a gig and couldn't change for an interview. I'm friends with her and she's a pretty down to Earth person, nothing weird about her. The Goth culture is so misunderstood, because no one has even outside that world has tried to understand it, but yet people have no problem wearing their pants off their ass and being ghetto. Stop with the bashing, she gave her time and her friend was just being there for her. Same with Tuesday Knight, everyone are quick to complain when people don't do interviews or commentaries, but yet they wanna judge when they do. GET A LIFE!!

reply

Nope, it was creepy and unprofessional. I would have rather not had her in the doc at all then have this garbage.

"I've flown this route before."
"When was that?"
"IT WAS ON THE WINGS OF A DEMON!"

Fair enough...but she still didn't need to bring her "pet" to the interview with her.

Also, I doubt she was "in the middle of a gig".
Bands tend not to stop gigs just to record an interview.
She could have done the interview before or after the gig...not in the middle of it.

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.

reply

Now I know it's a band deal, I understand now. her band gives me a Twisted Sister/ Insane Clown Posse vibe.

reply

Um...first, she's not a lesbian? Second, it's called doing it for *beep* and giggles.

Nobody died because of it...Jesus isn't in a rumpus room at the north pole killing puppies while santa claus re-enacts the dirty parts of Song of Solomon with his elves and reindeer...

Seriously...why are you sweating this? Get a sense of humor, for christ'sakes. You make this sound like it's a bfd.

She did it for *beep* and giggles. Relax.

reply

Well if she's not a lesbian, its really confusing...She does seem nice all the same...the actress not the slave girl lol

reply

...the only thing confusing is, all these people assuming she's a lesbian. Why are you assuming that? Just because she has a chick leaning on her? Methinks they're the ones that need their heads checked. You need an ass to make an assumption.

reply

Hardcore Nightmare fans bitching about the appearance of an actor? Who gives a flying *beep* Her interview was pretty cool and she seemed nice and not off puting in the least. How do you guys know she's a lesbian? How do you know it wasn't the producers own idea to have her appear that way?

reply

Personally I could care less whether or not she's a lesbian. That's not the issue I had with the randomness of the weirdo chick being in the intreview. I don't even care about her makeup. What I had a problem with is the inclusion of someone in her interviews that had no involvement whatsoever with this film series. Nobody else had a random hanger-on in their scenes, so what was this baffling inclusion for? To me, it was very strange and something that was totally not needed...a cry for attention.

"Hey, look at me, I'm weird!"

reply

I agree with Linda1973 , it was just way too distracting , every time she was saying something interesting my attention drifted away to that girl staring at the camera like she had no soul or something...

reply

[deleted]

I don't care whether she is a lesbian either. I'm gay myself. It was weird having that thing attached to her like that and all she did was stare at the camera! Lezlie Deane was in NOES...that thing wasn't.

reply

At first, I thought it was a little strange, but after she started to talk about various things, her words stood out over her looks. After a while, her looks didn't bother me one bit. She was a pretty interesting person.

reply

I think underneath that makeup and without the slave sitting near her she would actually be one of the cast members who looks decent these days.

reply

I know,I used to actually find her attractive when I was little...

reply

Boo hoo! If people can't simply pay attention to an interview simply because they are distracted by someone in frame then they need seriously work on paying attention like a good boy/girl.

reply

Yeah it was very strange to me, too. It wasn't so much her make-up that killed the interview, (and I didn't assume she was a lesbian) but her friend laying on her looking into the camera with her blank face was very distracting. That would be like a singer going on stage with someone attached to them staring weirdly at the audience for the entire show. Think of how distracting that would be and how disappointed in the artist you would feel if you were a fan.

"Everyone's entitled to one good scare."

reply

It was weird. I didn't care if she (the actress) was wearing her stage make-up, that's fine. But bringing that thing along with her and having her attached to her hip like that and blankly staring at the camera was strange. If she is her slave/girl friend, that's fine but take a break from it during your interview. That thing didn't need to be there in the spotlight.

I gotta go feed that thing in Room 33.

reply

It was extremely distracting from the movie. Kind of ironic she would do something like this after being abused. She goes on to perpetuate the a power dynamic over someone else.

You've got to respect Heather for letting people portray themselves as they'd like to be portrayed. This spoke volumes when she gave the one director Renny an opportunity to showoff how much of a pompous ass he is.
