No Kelly Rowland? Johnny Deep? Patricia Arquette?

Am I missing someone else? :)

R.I.P. Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson

Turns out Tuesday Knight got so big that she took up any extra room for some of the other stars.

I don't think Laurence Fishburne was in it either.

Tuesday Knight ate Kelly Rowland, Johnny Depp, Patricia Arquette, Lawrence Fishburne, Craig Wasson, and Ronee Blakely.

Depp and Patricia Arguette have distanced themselves from the Nightmare movies.

Why would Depp do that? He was in two movies, and almost in New Nightmare as well

reply

Dont know but its obvious he has. He has never trashed it or anything but he has never brought it up since becoming a huge star. He did a cameo in Freddy Dead in 1991 before he was the huge star he is today. Yes he said he WOULD have done a cameo if Craven asked but sadly Craven did not ask during New Nightmare. Still one of my favorite actors and its ironic my top 2 films of all time, Nightmare on Elm Street and Platoon, are his first 2 movies.

Depp has most certainly never distanced himself from 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. He's just (clearly) a very busy man these days.

Am I a man or am I a Muppet? If I'm a Muppet, well I'm a very manly Muppet

reply

He has distanced himself from it by becoming a huge star and having countless other movies that people identify with much more often. He has def never spoken negative about it. Nor has he said much about it period. Nothing wrong with that. Not like I am bashing the guy or anything.

I see what you are saying, but I wouldn't consider that distancing himself from it.

Yes he's become successful, and may have been too busy to appear in a documentary like this. But the term "distancing himself" implies he's embarrassed to have appeared in them and refuses to acknowledge it. I don't believe this to be true.

reply

Breckin Meyer was absent, although he was mentioned.

reply

I agree that one can't really call that distancing them self out right. But if he was asked and refused, I think that could be seen as distancing himself a bit. I'm sure he would do a Pirates of the Caribbean doc or a Tim Burton doc. He obviously has some allegiances to certain projects.

I have to say I was surprised by his cameo in 21 Jump Street and do see that he will take the time to appreciate his roots, even when he really did wish to distance himself from 21 Jump street, at least before as he never wanted to play a generic role like that again.

But he surely doesn't look down on Nightmare on Elm Street, like Keanu looks down on Bill and Ted. Depp is too honest with himself to do that. Keanu on the other hand thinks he is so great that such a role is beneath him now. Pffft.

reply

Wasn't there some rumour last year that there was going to be a third Bill & Ted film with the original actors in?

May just be nonsense, doesn't seem anything came of it.

reply

I did read that.

"You're paying too much for your worms, boss. Who's your worm guy?"

reply

I don't think you know what "distanced himself" means

Aquaman: 15% Off, you say? By Poseidon, those savings are OUTRAGEOUS!

reply

Johnny Depp has never distanced himself from the ANOES series and has always been gracious about acknowledging it as his acting roots and first big break. Hell, he came back for Freddy's Dead, and said that he would have participated in New Nightmare, but Craven just assumed that he wouldn't be interested, so he didn't bother to ask him.

From what I understand, he was asked to participate in this documentary, but was filming some other project at the time and couldn't fit it into his schedule.
