God and Satan

I reject the view of some reviewers that this movie would be like Goad and Satan having a conversation. This movie works because the two men treat each other as equals (although, technically, White is captive). They are willing to listen to the other's opinion without trying to speak over them or just wait for their turn to speak. In our mythology, God and Satan are not equals.

I thought it was interesting in the end that in Black's despair, he said that God gave the words to White - suggesting that God's opinion was neutral and White had found a way to verbalize his feelings. I would believe that Black will be on that platform, and if White shows up, this conversation starts anew.
