I know the Sunset Limited was a passenger train that went from New Orleans to LA. The writers must have known this.
What's the tie, or why did they choose this title?

The Sunset Limited was the train that White attempted to throw himself in front of from a platform in New York, prior to Black preventing him from doing so.
