caught this on cable... The director knows that real life makes the best stories... I love documentaries that tell the story without hearing questions being asked. I'm 38, and knowledge of the history of burlesque and even vaudeville, are not something that was conveyed to my generation or younger....

Very expansive telling, and organized so that the archive visuals appropriately coincided with the new interviews, and similar sound bytes of different people were grouped together to tell one portion of the whole thing at the same time.

Films like this are important, because without it, this information and part of our culture will assuredly get lost into the sands of time.

--Thank you for reminding me of that very important fact. I am a tad overwhelmed b y the TV choices. Technologically, volume of channels, infomercials, my hubs works in broadcasting too. I am reminded that the news never stops every time a holiday rolls around :)
