Did anybody else have mixed feelings?

Watched it for the first time yesterday and I have very mixed feelings. I think the acting work was done brillianly, but the movie fell way too short on the screenplay. Everything seemed to rush through scenes, a bit like a children's movie where characters go from one adventure to another in the span of 40 minutes. I was a bit discouraged until the end, when things turned out to be just as intense as I expected.

Basically I think the actors, mainly Benedict, saved this movie. It's like it was written to be a short play.
