Kickstarter?

I am still thinking about this show even though it's been a long time since I last watched it. Do you guys think that a movie has even a slight possibility of occurring with a Kickstarter campaign? Enlightened doesn't appear have a HUGE fan base, but I believe that the critical attention it got will definitely assure that their goal is reached to sucessfully fund a movie since a 3rd season would require a larger budget.
Laura Dern seems pretty busy right now, but she would for sure make room on her schedule to do an Enlightened movie.
So, is this like, and impossible dream of mine?

I hate that I didn't give this show a chance until it was cancelled for three years. After only deciding to watch the pilot, I ended up watching both seasons in three days.

All that said, maybe it's best left as it is. I know some shows made a comeback after being cancelled but a lot of times it doesn't end up as good. I'll just look forward to Mike White's next idea and hope it's just as brilliant.

But... if there was a Kickstarter campaign I could be compelled to pitch in. If the original crew wanted it, of course.

I LOVED this show when it was airing, and as much as I would have liked to see the stories continue to more resolution, this is hardly the type of show that could benefit from a final "movie". Maybe it's just the weight of the subject matter, and the places the characters were at when it ended, it just seems to me this show should have continued with further seasons or simply ended, as it did.

Again, I was a huge fan of the show, but a 90 minute film wouldn't have done it justice compared to another season. Plus, I just can't see anyone getting excited to see "Enlightened: The Movie". Some things should just be allowed to go, sad as it is, and I can't wait to see what other stories outside of this world that Mike White has in store.
