A 3rd season NEEDS to be created!!

reply

Hmm, i am totally with you... But... I tried that with "Carnivale" already, even signed the petition without any success unfortunately
Anyways, if you see how we could bring it back... count me in

Ps: Still, HBO has the greatest Series

reply

What else is he making with HBO? I dont see anything else in development.
And the least they could have done was put this on netflix =/
If only it were advertised more...
Its like they didnt even try.

I absolutely adore Enlightened... and would LOOOVE to see a 3rd season, but the death of remarkable actor James Rebhorn (the big boss that was promised to be one of the most important characters of a possible season 3) makes it even less likely...

They could convincingly write the CEO's suicide into the story.

reply

And that could steer the story back toward Amy's personal life, resolving the whole Abbaddon episode, while also eerily echoing her own father's suicide (also because of business dealings).

But elaborate plot twists and turns almost seem anathema to this very quiet and intimate show. I'm wondering how that would play out.

reply

Really good point - "eerily echoing her own father's suicide (also because of business dealings)".

I would love to see it come back, but most people did not get it. HBO really don't give their shows a chance to grow. They canceled so many good shows way before their time. Remember what they did to Rome, Deadwood and Carnivale. I now am very reluctant to start watching anything on HBO.

This show was a white diamond. But HBO seems to have chosen quantity over quality. Shame on them!

reply

Someone suggested the show to me just a little while back. I just finished the first DVD. Through episode five. I think I got a couple more to go. It's different that's for sure. Sometimes I question her actions, but it's definitely interesting. Shows flaws in all human characters. Also some great conversations. She's definitely resilient.

The best TV series I have watched. It came as a total surprise. This series talks to you in a very personal way. It touches you intimately and deeply . Very thought provoking. Great characterization and wonderful acting. Absolutely loved it. They need to get this series bring having created something truly fantastic.

Its 2017 now. Probably no point posting this. But for the record it was a darn good show. Pure quality. It wasn't a money spinner but not every show needs to be, HBO should have done the right thing and ended it with dignity.
