Was it hinting at a sequel? (spoilers)

I mean, we don't actually see Kenneth or Rodrigo die. Kenneth is left on the beach with a decent possibility of survival. And before Mallory presumably (!) finishes Rodrigo, the credits roll. And then there is Mallory's new job at Coblenz'.

Could all these possibly-loose ends have been done this way to open up for a Haywire 2?

reply

Steven Soderbergh doesn't do sequels.

Well, he did Ocean's Twelve in 2004.

It may be possible that Haywire was ended that way for the possibility of a Haywire 2 (even for a direct to DVD sequel) but it seems unlikely that Carrano and others would make one. of course a sequel of this story may be a new storyline entirely and Mallory working for someone else or herself and not mention her past. Carrano probably wants to be in other films and projects like she was in Fast and the Furious 6. It would be nice if they did make a sequel that she would fight Roussey or some other chick.
