How Gruff and Rene actually first met

According to Rene’s autobiography published in 2014 Ramblings of a Patagonian , he and Gruff actually met for the first time in the late 90's, when Rene helped a friend redecorate a kitchen in what turn out to be Gruff’s home in Cardiff.
