Dissapointed with this film - SPOILERS

I really was looking forward to this film as I usually love Ozon's films and I also really like Melvil Poupaud. Granted, I knew beforehand Melvil wouldn't be in the film much as his character dies early on, but I thought the rest of the story would be interesting and that there would be a POINT to the film.

Unfortunately, Melvil's scenes were wasted (I guess he was in it just to get his name on the film poster) and the plot was thin as air. I was sick to death of seeing the protagonist walking around with her huge stomach. Yes, we got it, she's pregnant, BIG DEAL. Couldn't Ozon had made her more INTERESTING, because she most definetely wasn't. Also what a coincidence the junkie had that lovely house to go t, yeah right ..... I was also dissapointed in Ozon having Louis' brother have sex with Mousse....like why would he if he was gay?

Ozon you know very little about women, and it is not true that people are fascinated with pregnant women, especially men. The truth is they wouldn't give a damn.

Why on earth didn't Ozon have some scenes with Mousse remembering Louis in order for the audience to have empathised more with her. Also he could have had her remembering some scenes from her childhood, and the brother too.

It was just all pointless and worst of all TERRIBLY BORING.

Missed opportunity imo. Ozon could have ended his Trilogy about death with a bang, but instead it 'puffff'....imploded.

By the looks of it, nobody else could be bothered to even see this film and I don't blame them.

I'm with you on this. I disliked Mousse. I liked Paul and Serge. That some gay guy character has to have sex with some woman would only be apt to happen if the guy were bisexual, or was trying to fight being gay. Paul didn't fit that bill.

Doesn't rot your brain like most films, but it's true that afterwards you feel like you wasted your time.

It's funny, because this is only 1 of 3 films I've seen where a man is established as strictly gay but sleeps with a woman (one being Ozon's "Time To Leave"), whereas I've seen four dozen films where a woman is established as strictly gay but sleeps with a man.

Don't try to cash in love, that check will always bounce.
