The last guy to die was the real hero

I just called him that cause I have no idea what any of their names were. But anyway, throughout the movie he was treated like a jerk. But actually he was the only one who deserved to live. He was smart. The nerd, for being all book smart, was a bit of a dumbass, not leaving when he should have. And then in the end, the so called "jerk" gave his life so that ungrateful nerd could get away. None of those other people deserved his help. The "jerk" should have just left and never followed the dumb girl into the corn

Spoiler alert!

I have to say that all of them were quite "heroic", at least to some degree. Of course, they were acting stupid or selfish few times (like that obsessed boyfriend, risking their lives, or the other guy, stealing the car) - but sooner or later, they all showed real courage.

For example the "boyfriend" went to save "nerd" when he was attacked, and he even saved the "other guy" (or "jerk") despite he stole their only car and wanted to leave them. And as you mentioned, the "other guy" grabbed the creature so "nerd" was able to escape.

Anyway, quite interesting characters.

We they were gathering the gasoline i thought for sure they would just burn the cornfield down...That was my thoughts at least or what i would have done. The boyfriend was the coolest guy i thought but once he got all crazy near the end about the girl i was like ya..he has to go. The other guy that stole the car deff should have lived

The last guy to die, Scott I think was his name took an awful lot of punishment too. Being basically impaled and then roughed up by the creature. Also being hung upside down and stabbed what sounded like at least 6-7 times and still being alive. Damn his death was definatley the most heroic.
