there are reason why this film was panned even by critics and viewers who oppose commercial pablum and formula. The fact is that even self consciously anti- commercial and anti formulaic works can fail, an not just critically fail, but simply fail as experiences even for the open minded. Road to nowhere is such a failure. This film would go nowhere and would have been seen by noone if it weren't for the directors prior success.
