Episode 2

While the South African filming locations were generally fine, they really didn't manage to approximate wartime Lorient [?] very well at all. And, the scenes with the Americans were badly written and not particularly well-acted... However, generally, I thought the second episode was a big improvement on the first - even managing to be moderately emotional at times... While Ken Duken impressed, Andrew Buchan was definitely the highlight of this two-parter - a fab actor, who's definitely someone to keep an eye on... I'm keen to watch the BBC2 documentary on the incident this evening, to see how much was true and how much was "artistic licence".
