I cheered wildly when the main character of this movie (the dark haired Russian woman) got beat. She SO had it coming. She was one of the most arrogant and disrespectful characters I've ever seen in a movie. She's in the country ILLEGALLY, yet she treated the immigration authorities there as if THEY were the ones who were in the wrong. I could never imagine being an immigrant and treating everyone in the country I immigrated to with such contempt and such hostility. She got exactly what she deserved. It sounds harsh but it's true.

You are so right! I was on this board looking for a post like yours. She is very arrogant and she acts as if she's the victim while she's the one who's at fault here. There are so many immigrants who do what's necessary to do the right thing and don't complain and she's there, in Belgium, thinking that everybody should apologize and that she only has rights. She gets on my nerves big time! What a b$%#&!!!!! Plus, she's not sympathetic at all... In fact I wanted to stop watching the movie because she was so irritating!

I couldn't disagree more. This woman was afraid for her like and that of her son. She had a job in Belgium, she worked hard but cause her request for immigration was denied, she should be beaten or deported? in case you don't remember, somewhere your family were immigrants in America (unless you are Native American). Racism like you espouse is truly disgusting and contributes to the hateful social atmosphere we have in this country today.
