Vanessa Williams - snubbed or snubber?

Was Vanessa left out when they passed around the comic spectacles, or did she refuse to wear them? Really odd expression when they cut to her. I would've played it off.

I think she refused to wear them and she looked like a TOTAL bitch sitting there sneering like she did.

Maybe she just never, ever breaks character. Total Wilhelmina Slater moment. Can you spell D-I-V-A? (Do these eyeglasses make me look fat?)

I thought she must have been playing it in character as a joke, because otherwise that was incredibly snooty. Still, even if she was being in character, I don't think it was a good idea, because people who don't watch the show wouldn't know that she was acting.

I think you are right. I don't watch that show... so to me she came off as a b*tch. The others all did "glasses"... so they didn't portray their characters... just a little humor. Vanessa made a bad choice I think.

reply

Yeah, I was totally kidding about her not breaking character. No one stays in character 24/7 - LOL. She plays a calculating biotch on Ugly Betty. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. LOL

Nope she is just a B!tch

It is funny that nobody knows for sure. She may have refused, but maybe not?
Parker's Harry Potter glasses were cool. I wish she had worn them without the others!

"He sent the rain."
"Who sent the fire?"

if she was playing her character she would of wore expensive sunglasses instead of the "un-stylish" glasses

Jan: I'm sorry all I heard was blah blah blah I'm a dirty tramp.

See - that would've worked. A pair of ultra chic sunglasses that exude "diva". Still funny !

Seems we're the only ones who thought that was a cute idea. This is from MSN's article about the Emmy Awards' highs and lows:

Weirdest Eye Accessories: The thick glasses, monocles and eye patches sported by supporting actress nominees ("that was Amy Poehler's idea," sobbed winner Kristin Chenoweth of the dearly departed "Pushing Daisies," not really explaining anything). (Runner-up: The dark-rimmed thick specs sported by Justin Timberlake, Dana Delany, Jessica Lange and loads of other otherwise glam stars.)

Sorry MSN, I thought it was a cute idea and Vanessa "I'm too cool to be funny" Williams lost points in my book for passing.
