I just beat this game tonight(spoilers)

What ending did everyone else get? I got the one where Harry walks into Dr. Kaufmann's office and Cheryl tells him "You were always here for me" and Harry answers with "I always will be" and than freezes. I loved that ending and I think this game is amazing it really threw me off as i thought the therapy sessions were Harry's. Great game and i'll definitley play it again.

I've since gone back and got a couple of the other endings, but that was the first one I got, and it was indeed powerful. Also, I've tried each other time I played to get a different ending, but that one seems to come through more often than not for me (even if I'm trying for another.)

oh mine was a lot sadder, Cheryl says "Why did you have to die?" and Harry says "Forgive me." and then freezes. I thought it was Harry in therapy the whole time too, really interesting twist! This game was a little frustrating at times but overall I really liked it!

Just played and beat and I got the same ending when he freezes up after talking to his daughter. You were always here for me" and Harry answers with "I always will be" and than freezes. I got the same one.

What I find extremly original is the idea that actually you're controlling a character that in reality is not even a ghost but just an imagination being materialized. The way you (Cheryll) remember him is the way he will turn out to be AND THEN by the end, you might have learned what you had to go trough since Daddy died, and also what Daddy REALLY was like. So upon replaying it you can choose to be closer to reality (by for instance not denying that parents might divorce and stuff).

Because (SPOILERS) in reality, the young Harry fell for Dahlia, a goth rock chick, she probably cheated on him and was an alcoholican and later worked as a dancer in a club, or maybe as a prostitute even. So they divorced and then Daddy died, but she lacks any real memories, so she tries to recreate it. It's really very original and brave to come up with such a concept. If you're 'too positive' you end up being confronted with a sad reality that contradicts with what Cheryll imagined. I'm very curious if the "best ending" might be the one where you succeed in equalising your memories with the reality. But to manage to do so, you'll need to learn everything you can about the Mason-family-dynamics and stuff.

I've NEVER seen a game with such a "mature" concept. Really well done.

Also I like the typical SILENT HILL mystery thing where they don't explain everything but the more you play the more you understand. It never really seems illogical, but also never really logical. In this one, it seems obvious that in the game there were two huge snow storms, one when the accident happened, and the other 18 years later when Cheryll goes to therapy. This strange, mysterious connection is never explained nor specifically mentioned so it's up to the imagination of the gamer. That's cool and incredibly brave today...!

I'll never sell this game.

Harry walks into Dr. Kauffmann's office and says to his daughter "I'll always be here for you" and then Cheryl says "No" with her head. Harry freezes.
I think it was something like that...
