Fantastic beginning

I think Halloween 2018 is pretty much a mess, with a slipshod script, unlikeable characters, unnecessary characters, a groan inducing twist, inane comedy, and very little suspense. However, I thought the beginning scenes, up until the opening credits, were excellent. It’s so unnerving to see Michael, the human Michael, at the mental hospital. When the mask comes out and the sense of evil begins to spread and create chaos with the other inmates, it is very powerful. Unfortunately, it’s pretty much downhill after that.
