Agreed. Far better than this. Never understood the hate it gets. Not really a fan of the Producers Cut, either. The theatrical cut with more gore and the less Thorn related ending is better.

I genuinely feel H6 is far better, except for the ending which is a mess in both cuts (though I prefer the theatrical ending vs the producers cut.)

H2018 has a couple scenes here and there that are better (like the journalists being killed in the bathroom) but overall H6 is better and more coherent from start to finish. It's also a proper horror/slasher film, whereas H2018 veered more into action flick territory by the end.

I'd also say H6 has more memorable characters. Tommy Doyle. Kara. Tim. Kara's son who hears the voices. The Howard Stern rip off radio guy. Loomis in a great last performance. Dr Wynn killing it in the screen time he had. Kara's parents really stand out distinctively, too. Not to mention Wilbur is terrifically menacing as Michael. I watched H2018 a few months back but besides Laurie, the journalists and the (terrible) Loomis replacement, I can't really picture any of the characters.
