Why bother making a point of saying that they were taking away the supernatural elements and making him human only to have him sustain so much damage that he couldn't possibly be human.The guy got hit by a car which should have broken a bone,Shot 3 times,lost a crapload of blood and had his fingers blown off.No human is still walking around and fighting after that.

shareForgot about that.Loomis must have been a damn lousy shot to have missed every vital organ.They can sell the character how ever they want but there's no logical way he's human unless he has super powers.

The car hit easily looked like it wouldnt have resulted in serious injury.(I literally seen hundreds of youtube clips where peoples been hit harder and had no injuries at all)
The shot to the hand, would have been painful, but easily could have still walked around(the only NON Human thing about it is, He didnt wrap it up, Michael Myers or not, The first thing anyone would have done is tear off some sheets and wrap up the nobs of your fingers)
The only Gun shot that I find pretty unbelievable is the 1 that takes place in the middle of the movie, That looked like a clear shoulder shot, I got to believe he would need some medical attention to continue his Murder quest...certainly would have made everything he did for the rest of the movie very hard
The shot to the hand and final shot to neck/face....could be explained by adrenaline. afterall He had Jamie in sight and waited 40 years to kill her, his adrenaline was off the charts
basically, nothing supernatural....Just far fetched writing...
but they also got the first film to fall back on, remember Michael took 6 gun shots in that 1 and survived....so they were completely keeping in check with what Michael survived in the first one....I think the Supernatural stuff they were talking about getting rid of mainly was The CULT and His Supernatural back story and Turn the series took in part 4,5 and 6
