Anyone else? (Spoilers)

Was anyone else kind of put off by the segment where Michael is just randomly going around the neighborhood killing a bunch of non-characters? It just felt really out of place like it was tacked on afterwards to bump up the body count or something. Maybe it's just me, I've never been a fan of when horror movies kill off a bunch of non-characters that we never met. Why should I care about these people? We never met them. Should have killed off Allysons boyfriend who just disappeared for the rest of the movie, at least we spent some time with him to make it a worthwhile kill.

Have you even seen any of the other Halloween films? Michael has killed a ton of non-characters throughout the series.

I'm probably wrong here, but I feel like Mike mostly killed people that got in his way or would have hindered the pursuit of his real target - Laurie or Jamie.

Halloween he killed that guy to get his jumpsuit, then he killed Lori's friends to spook her out. In Halloween 2 he killed that random chick after he stole the knife, that was out of place. The rest were hospital staff, which fits in with people that could have hindered him from getting to Laurie. H4 he killed the doctors and ambulance driver to escape.. so on and so on.

But back to the OP, I didn't like him going on a random killing spree throughout the neighborhood, because that isn't Michael Myers. BUT, since the producers of this movie were pushing the fact that Laurie was attacked at random (they ditched the sister story line) they want to double down, triple down that Myers was a random killer

Do you think Michael would've just stopped if he had killed Laurie and her friends in the original? Remember, JC had not come up with the sister arc yet, so Michael seemingly just chose Laurie because she showed up at his house to drop off the key.

Was just glad Oscar/Joshua Gad/Jack Black died, he was annoying
