I never saw the previous two movies, so...

Who says you have to see this one?

I don't think seeing it is required or anything.

But I can tell you that you really don't need to have seen either of the previous films to follow the story here. All you need to know is that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are Miami cops who have a reputation for mayhem and who have been on two adventures before.

Otherwise, the story in this third film is pretty self-contained.

I actually seem to be one of the few on this message board who did enjoy this movie. It wasnt anything above average but I do think it's the best Bad Boys movie.

So then why not watch them? Atleast the first one which is a classic to many out there. If you have any interest in this at all I don't see why you wouldn't want to watch the ones from when the main stars were younger for the story sake.
