Wow, it's not because we read it somewhere, it's because we're using common sense.

First of all, it takes a while before a cancelled show makes an official announcement online, so I'm thinking it probably won't make the announcement BEFORE it finishes airing new episodes.

However, it definitely should have announced that it was being renewed for another season, like Degrassi has. That's the way shows work. And since Degrassi and Gigantic are on the same time schedule, it's weird for us to not have any promo pics, episode titles, or confirmation of new episodes.

And btw, if you did your research then you'd know this show came out YEARS ago. It's original airdate was supposed to be in 2007 and it kept getting pushed back. There hasn't been any talk about it from the stars since. What all of the viewers are doing is putting the facts together: there's a very slim chance that this show is coming back.

no, when Gigantic is returning this week it's still season one. But after that, I'm almost positive it's not coming back for another season.

Yes there has. There have been various interviews.

"It's original airdate was supposed to be in 2007"
Yes the show HAS been in the works since 2007 but production began in late 2009. It was officially greenlit in early 2009.

And finally, im referring to the many people that had posted (mostly on the degrassi boards, some time ago) that the show HAD been canceled not that it WAS GOING TO.

Do I think the show will get canceled? I have no idea. There has been no release of the ratings that I know of. And seeing as this is the only original program (apart from degrassi) that TeenNick/The N has done in a while maybe they wont cancel it and try keep promoting seeing as they dont have anything else to offer, if the ratings arent TOO bad.

Well I haven't seen any, but you might be right.

"Yes the show HAS been in the works since 2007 but production began in late 2009. It was officially greenlit in early 2009."

The airdate has been changed twice. The original airdate was in 2007, then it changed to 2009, then it changed again to October 2010.

"And finally, im referring to the many people that had posted (mostly on the degrassi boards, some time ago) that the show HAD been canceled not that it WAS GOING TO."

Yeah I know, I was on the degrassi boards and I read a few comments about that. And if you read my last post it says that this show isn't cancelled yet, but I'm almost positive that it will be. And the main reason why I think so is because as far as I know, they haven't started any production of new episodes.

Yes, that list has been up there since the series began. All of those episodes are still from season one. The entire season was filmed already. I'm talking about how Gigantic is not being renewed for another season.

And yes, the show was shot years ago. It's been in the works since 2007, and it was shot 2 years ago.

I got the info from wiki if you don't want to take my word for it:

"Gigantic has been in the works at Nickelodeon since 2007.[7] The series was created by the brother and sister team of Ben and Debby Wolfinsohn, who wrote, cast and directed a pilot episode in 2005.[8] It wasn't until 2007 that development began when Reveille Productions joined forces with The N to work on the series. In early 2009, Marti Noxon and Dawn Parouse joined the project as showrunners. Nickelodeon green-lit the series with a 13 episode order in May 2009.[9] Production began in October 2009, with the episode order increased to 18.[2] The series is filmed in the Los Angeles area."

So what has the show been doing since? If it's coming back for another season we should have some proof by now. Teennick has done this before with other shows, like About a girl for instance. It had a short run of a season, and was never picked up again. I'm pretty sure it's happening again with this show.

Not to mention, shows take time to get renewed. Usually til May if im not mistaken. If they have big ratings then starting in the winter. More than the majority of the shows on major networks havent been renewed yet despite big ratings. check out TVbyTheNumbers.
