If you can't send in videos of pranks...

then where do they get the prank videos?

The producers search Youtube. My nieces pranked my brother-in-law by hiding in the fridge and scaring the crap out of him when he went to get a drink. They taped it and put the video on Youtube. The producers of Pranked saw the video on Youtube contacted my sister and her family and got their permission to air the clip on the show. The show paid them 250 bucks to air the clip. But I agree that a lot of the clips on the show are staged.

Even then; the disclaimer at the start about not sending them videos is completely pointless because regardless of where they get them, if they are getting them from people, then people will pull pranks in the hopes of getting on the show. In fact, it’s even worse this way because (stupid) people will just end up doing a lot more in the hopes of increasing their odds.

They are just protecting themselves. That way if some idiot gets hurt while filming a prank for the show they can say they made it clear they weren't accepting submissions.

You can tell by the "high definition Camcorders and angle most of it is fake and stage"
