Incredible story...

...if it weren't such a terrible situation it would have almost been humorous that the decision was made to dress all the men as priests and the women as nuns in order to confuse their enemies...

How frightened they must have been when asked by the Nazi's to recite the Lord's prayer and the Hail Mary - especially those who were Jewish and did not know the words and what that meant to their survival!

As one movie reviewer here said, what else could Pope Pius XII do but what was done - they were surrounded by evil and did the best they could, and very similar to the Sound of Music and the Nuns who hid the Von Trapp family in the cemetery to avoid being found, we can't comprehend what those days were like, and it angers me when some individuals today claim it never happened or was exaggerated - incredible...

It was a well-made film and worth your time to see it...
