Which of the 3 bosses was the worst?

I think most people will agree that Julia was definitely the lesser of 3 evils. So it comes down to whether it was Harken, the greedy, power-tripping sociopath, or Bobby, the hedonist who used his daddy's company as his own personal piggy bank.

I'd say that Harken was the most fun to hate of the 3, but Bobby was probably a little worse, since his irresponsibility and selfishness threatened the lives of thousands.

Harken was the worst because he was a psychopath, especially when he killed another character.

reply

Well, Harken almost sent all three protagonists to prison for a crime he committed, and Bobby ended up dead, sooo definitely Harken for me.

reply

Easily Harken. He was mean bastard. Great performance by Spacey.

"What, you don't like rice? Tell me Michael, how could a billion Chinese people be wrong?"

The problem with a guy like Harken is that you could probably not one-up him. He's too smart and too powerful to take down. A guy like Bobby on the other hand is seriously stupid and likely to mess it up for himself anyway. If they wanted to get rid of him, they could've tipped off the cops about his cocaine stash, that alone would've made sure that he would not be able to continue running the company.

reply

Harken - there are a lot of guys like this working in corporate America.

reply

I dunno. Julia was pretty bad, I mean she was really willing to destroy Dale's entire life.

reply

The thing with Julia is that all the guy had to do was keep that tape recorder in his pocket for one day and he'd have been right where he finished the movie. It didn't seem that she skipped a single day of sexually harassing him.

reply

I'd say Bobby is the worst. Sure, Bobby is dumb and Harken is a HUGE, intelligent jerk who'd kill you for revenge, but Bobby would've caused a lot more damage if he lived and Harken merely would've been unpleasant to be around.

Yes, Julia was definitely the least of the trio. You only have to worry about her if, like Charlie Day's Dale, you were in a relationship. If you were single, no real problem (though I wouldn't have her as my dentist; I'd be worried what she'd do to me if I was under the gas).

Of the other two, I'd have to say Harken, simply because he's the smartest and most dangerous of the trio. Bobby's a selfish A-hole, but he's also a blithering incompetent who's prime to self-destruct. I mean, the guy is doing coke in his office and have prostitutes as his desk. Just call the cops on the idiot and get him busted.

Harken killed someone with a gun. Harken wins this

"TURN IT OOOOOFF!!!"

reply

Definitely Harken, he was the one who I've hated the worse, I thought he was the biggest scumbag of them all for killing Harken over something he didn't do.

reply

Bobby was the absolute worst to me.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

reply

Harken was almost a supervillain type of evil, this was the character that Spacey SHOULD'VE done in Superman Returns I hated him more in Horrible than in Superman

Bobby is in second, but his character is almost despicable as Harken but he wasn't intelligent enough for me to fully hate him.

reply

Bobby by a mile...Harken was an *beep* and he killed someone but Bobby probably hurt hundreds of people while his company trashed waste in bolivia. Harken only seemed worse because the movie focused on him
