Anyone know what HPLHS plans for next movie?

I enjoyed both of their productions. Call of Cthulu, and Whisperer in Darkness. I searched internet to find HPLHS plans for next one, but i cant find any anwser.
Maybe here someone knows their plans?

I would be more than happy if it would be Shadow over Innsmouth :)

Sorry, I don't know if they have such plans. But I would rather they do At the Mountains of Madness than some major studio get its hands on it f--k it up beyond recognition. A screen version would benefit from epic sfx... but on the principle that the story is primary, what is really required is adequate sfx - and I have confidence in HPLHS to "do it right".

Yes, i feel the same. Lovecraft stories just dont need epic CGI sfx to be good :)

As far as I've heard Guillermo del Toro owns the rights to At the Mountains of Madness. And it's always been his intention to make it as true to Howard's original novella as possible. Right down to making it a period piece. However, he's had no luck in getting it financed because he refuses to bend to studio wishes of adding a love story, making it PG-13 and all that crap.

That said there are several stories HPLHS can choose from. Personally, I'd vote for either The Shadow Out of Time, (Quite possibly out of their budget range) or The Thing on the Doorstep. (I always thought Fairuza(The Craft)Balk would make a great Asenath Waite but she might also be out of their price range.) The Temple would be another cool one if they wanted to go the silent movie route again.

Finally, on a personal note, I would love to see someone do a Lovecraft video game. I know they did a couple of the Call of Cthulhu series, but the ATMOM game was $h!tcanned in mid-production. But I would like to see them take a new crack at it. I was really impressed with the immersive 1st person feel of A L I E N - Isolation and I think that would be a way to go. Stick to the basics of Lovecraft's tales and avoid the cliche trappings of Resident Evil and Silent Hill, (and I say this as a die-hard Resident Evil fan.) And above all else, no happy endings...
