What tripe!

We are supposed to believe these two are police detective inspectors? I missed the very start, however, throughout the episode there was aboslutely no police presence to be seen. They attend the latest victims house where the female lead casually sits reading the late victim's magazine and there is not one uniform or scene of crime person to be seen milling around the crime scene: a murder at that. I know you never see a policeman when you want one but this is ridiculous!
Also two DI's would never be partnered together in this manner as this is a complete waste of senior officers: unless the force depicted by the programnme is awash with them.
Until the end credits where I saw the two leads characters listed as DI's I had assumed, obviously wrongly, that this was an inept attempt by the BBc to make its own version of the 1980s "Moonlighting"!

It's a comedy.

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

I liked the joke about SJP but apart from that it was awful

It's not the new Fawlty Towers, but it's not THAT bad.

had the potential to be good...stephens' character had some amusing moments but punch is a dead loss.
Rory Kinnear didn't inherit his Dad's scene stealing ability, charisma or charm did he?

How on earth was this tripe recommissioned?
