The city where the show is set is never actually named...they refer to Bristol, which I'd guess is somewhere nearby, but also the website suggests they've moved to somewhere with a bit of urban sprawl, meaning it's likely got to be London or Manchester...but I'm pretty familiar with both cities (I'm a Londoner) and I don't recognise any of the places whatsoever. So, any ideas?

It appears to be set in South West London on the Thames - Kingston maybe?
Kate is from Bristol (she has a west country regional accent).
Virtually everything Punch appears in she has a west country accent. Saw "The life and death of Peter Sellers" last night on tge box and she had a brief role as an air trolley dollie with yes you've guessed it a west country accent! Illustrates her limitations as an actress?

The river scenes where all at Kingston Upon Thames which is just down the road from Teddington Film Studios where this is produced. The scene where Kate opens the car door into her boyfriends legs is also next to Kingston Bridge in Hampton Wick.
The flat that Jack lives in overlooks Kingston bridge.
The final scene of ep3 is walking along the embankment to Kingston Bridge.
The dog track was Wimbledon dog track and Kate's run through the common to the phone boxes was in Wimbledon Common.
London Transport logos on the bus stop are a bit of a give away. Winding river puts it far west of London

It's actually near where I live and yes in west London in the Twickenham/Richmond. For example he lives in a new complex of flats in Brentford by Kew Bridge.
In the first of the 2nd season they are having coffee in Richmond.
