cancelled?
Why are there only three episodes? Even for British television this isn't much. I got used to the 6 or 8 episode-seasons over the years, but three??? I began to like the show, it would be a bummer if they already cancelled it...

shareToo bad if they cancelled it. One of the best shows of the year. And in my opinion - one of the best ever.
The one that makes you want to watch it again and again. Brilliant characters, great actors, fantastic plot.
I wish there were more episodes.
I'm definitely hoping for a second series. The first one was too short, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
shareI hope for more episodes too
shareIt was rather good but offbeat but it seems there will be no new series.
Its that man again!!
Maybe I spoke too soon as the BBC are thinking of recommissioning it!!

It's not cancelled. A second series began filming this past February, and should air later this year. I think they're making 6 episodes this time, from the articles I've read. Toby Stephens will have a different partner this time. I hope she's good. I really enjoyed the Punch/Stephens chemistry in the first series.
shareAmazing!
I've been waiting for this show to come back, it really was great and it's a shame the company making it couldn't continue. I agree with your worry about the new partner. The two characters worked really well together. Do you know if they're just slotting another actress into the same role or creating a different character?
Sadly not it would appear! Quite how this atrocious rubbish was recommissioned is the real mystery?
shareStick to commenting ad nauseum on Corrie.
sharei agree with you, it is terrible. Just watched half of the first episode. British cop shows used to be good. This one looks like it was written by a 15 year old.
shareSo does your post.
At least you gave it all of 30 minutes to win you over.
Decent plots, funny, great chemistry between the stars. I'm not surprised it was cancelled. There should be more time made available for reality show spin-offs.
Agree with stemal-1: You'd have to be brain dead to call this jewel of British Comedy "terrible."
